About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions.
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Performs maintenance and repairs. Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that may affect product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree within the science field – e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar.
4+ years of experience as a field service engineer or as an end user of LC/LCMS analytical instrumentation.
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely.
Must be available to travel up to 25% of the time and should enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
A valid driver's License is required.
Must have your own means of transportation if a company vehicle is not provided.
Candidates MUST live in the greater San Diego area.
