Support remediation of SBR-related audit findings, including unsupported balances, incomplete populations, abnormal variances, and reporting inconsistencies
Perform budget execution and SBR reporting analysis, including Funding Authorization Document reconciliations, SF-132/SF-133 tie-outs, and variance analysis
Reconcile key SBR line items to source systems and feeder data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Develop and document remediation plans, including milestones and deliverables to support audit requests (PBC support)
Assess and enhance internal controls over budgetary reporting and supporting business processes
Draft and update process narratives and audit documentation to support audit readiness
Partner with functional teams to remediate data quality issues and improve transaction traceability
Translate analytical findings into actionable corrective recommendations
Support ongoing audit activities and stakeholder coordination efforts
Requirements
10+ years of experience in federal financial management, budget execution, or financial statement audit support
Demonstrated experience with SBR concepts (apportionment, obligations, outlays, upward/downward adjustments, and budgetary accounting)
Hands-on experience performing reconciliations and variance analysis
Experience developing audit-ready documentation and supporting audit requests (PBCs)
Strong ability to translate financial findings into corrective actions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
