About this role
Role Overview
As a Senior IT Consultant you will strengthen our team and work closely with our clients — primarily in the banking and insurance sectors.
You will support demanding IT and transformation projects with high functional and technical complexity and act as a central interface between business units, organizational areas and IT.
You understand business processes, think in terms of IT-based solutions and keep an overview even in critical project phases.
As an experienced consultant you act as a trusted sparring partner for our clients and contribute actively to project success.
Support complex IT and software projects comprising multiple subprojects
Analyze, design and optimize IT processes and organizational structures
Take responsibility for cutover planning and execution in the context of go-lives and migrations
Prepare detailed requirements analyses, functional specifications and implementation guidelines
Design and evaluate technical and functional solution scenarios
Plan, coordinate and manage the execution of testing activities
Manage and coordinate internal and external development teams as well as service providers
Track and report project status (schedule, quality, risks, budget, resources)
Work closely with project management, stakeholders and related projects
Support the project throughout the entire software development lifecycle
Requirements
Several years of experience (minimum 5 years) working on IT projects
Strong knowledge of IT processes and organizational structures
Practical experience in cutover management and production-critical project phases
Broad knowledge of the SAP landscape (modules and structures, processes and project methods)
Project experience in the banking or insurance sector is desirable
Experience in project management (waterfall and/or agile)
A solid vocational qualification or a degree in Business Informatics or Computer Science is welcome — practical experience is the decisive factor
Communicative, composed personality with analytical thinking skills
High level of commitment and sense of responsibility — also during intensive project phases when it matters
Fluent German and good written and spoken English
