Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant

Role Overview

• Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under supervision of a physical therapist
• Applies research and techniques to treat conditions limiting movement
• Determines priorities for direct/indirect patient care activities based on patient need
• Instructs patient and caregiver in treatment programs and documents instruction
• Documents all treatments as per departmental policies

Requirements

• Current or temporary physical therapy assistant licensure in applicable state
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
• One year of physical therapy assistant experience
