About this role
Role Overview
- Lead, plan, coordinate and manage the procurement of utilities for QTS
- Leadership responsibility for energy/water/waste contracting
- Risk management
- Predevelopment and supplier management
- Sales training and customer communications related to energy contracting processes
- Work closely with development team on infrastructure improvements for new sites
- Assist with energy related goals and commitments and manage green building certifications
- Interface regularly with utility related dashboards to assist in operational financial planning
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in science, engineering, architecture, business, law, finance, or related field or related discipline; or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
- Ten or more years’ of related professional experience
- Five or more years’ experience leading company-wide energy contracting initiatives
- Demonstrated experience working directly with senior executives and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM®)
- Professional Engineer (PE) OR Registered Architect (RA)
