Acting as overall lead for an agreed selection of our Championship events.
Coordination of accommodation and catering arrangements, and suppliers for all Championship events.
Assisting with recruitment, retention and remuneration of volunteers.
Support with administration of finance process.
Working as part of the Events and Competitions team to review and develop the overall event offering (competitive and non-competitive) across the sport to make rowing more relevant, connected and accessible.
Working closely with the Communications and Marketing team to jointly develop and agree on event marketing and communications plans.
Requirements
Strong planning and organisational skills with evidence of delivering to deadlines.
The ability to build and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to multi-task.
A proactive, self-starting approach with a willingness to travel and work flexibly (including some evenings and weekends).
IT literate.
Passionate about sport.
Calm under pressure.
Eagerness to innovate and a desire to learn.
A UK driving licence and the willingness to drive a van to/at events where required.
Has worked/volunteered at sporting events previously (desirable).
Awareness and understanding of the sporting events landscape in the UK (desirable).
An understanding of venue operations (desirable).
