Role Overview
Carrying out acceptance tests in the Signalling and Control Technology (Leit
und Sicherungstechnik) department
Leading the inspection team technically and organizationally during acceptance testing
Evaluating and inspecting installations in the field of signalling and control technology
Checking compliance with applicable laws and technical regulations, and verifying the suitability of systems and components for use in signalling installations
Reviewing the permissible use and application of approved parts, components, materials and systems in hardware or software
Preparing inspection notes and expert reports
Expanding qualifications across any technology — from legacy systems (e.g. SpDr S 60) to new technologies such as ESTW, DSTW or ETCS
Ensuring the quality of planning during construction and implementation
Willingness to occasionally work on-site at weekends, public holidays or at night
Supporting projects through technical consultancy and analysing solution approaches as required
Transferring knowledge to our planning and project engineers as well as construction supervisors
Ensuring processes for continuous quality assurance
Working independently and responsibly within a team and providing support as a mentor
Further developing your skills through internal and external training
Requirements
You have a degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field and are recognized by the German Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahn-Bundesamt) as an inspection expert/acceptance inspector in the area of Signalling and Control Technology
You meet the medical fitness requirements in accordance with § 48 EBO (German Railway Construction and Operation Regulations)
Confident use of common MS Office tools is part of your daily work; you are also comfortable with the associated hardware and software
You work independently and in a structured way and take responsibility for your tasks
With your quick comprehension and high motivation, you drive topics forward proactively and keep an overview even in demanding situations
You are a team player who convinces through loyalty, strong communication skills and assertiveness
For on-site assignments, you ideally hold a Class B driving licence
