Lead the Future of Forests in Indonesia by realizing FSC’s potential in the country.
Position FSC across multiple stakeholders in the Government, Private and ENGO sectors.
Define the country strategy in line with the regional priorities and the FSC Global Strategy.
Provide leadership in setting and implementing a national government advocacy agenda.
Work with key partners and stakeholders to promote responsible forest stewardship.
Direct the development, operation and management of forest stewardship standards.
Provide leadership in market and value chain development in the country.
Lead, motivate, develop, and mentor direct reports.
Oversee the operational management of the country team, including budget setting and control.
Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with the wider FSC Network.
Collaborate with the Membership Unit to grow membership across the chambers.
Represent the organization in forums, conferences, and national and international events.
Requirements
Graduate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent level of experience.
At least 15 years of professional experience in a senior management position with an international and multi-cultural and/or multi-stakeholder organisation.
Strong leadership skills, capable to effectively manage a relatively small team across a large territory, keeping focus on delivery on key priorities set.
Strong cultural sensitivity, with good interpersonal and communication skills to thrive as a member of a multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary, multi-lingual, and global organization.
Solutions oriented, analytical mindset, creative and organized in getting things done in an environment relatively remote from administrative and functional support provided by the headquarter in Bonn.
Native in Bahasa Indonesia and fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
