Hydraulic Engineer — Studies & construction works for hydraulic structures focused on flood prevention
You will be responsible for implementing major technical projects for the Nîmes Métropole territory and for monitoring hydraulic development works included in the NPNRU project for the Pissevin‑Valdegour neighborhood.
Positioned as a project manager, you will actively take part in the territory’s flood prevention initiatives, including:
the PAPI 3 Vistre program led by EPTB Vistre Vistrenque
stormwater hydraulic works included in the urban renewal project for the Pissevin‑Valdegour neighborhoods
Requirements
Qualified hydraulic engineer by training and/or experience, with skills (or willingness to become involved) in hydraulic public works.
Civil/generalist engineer within local authorities with strong experience in awarding and managing public contracts related to the role (hydraulic engineering consultancies, project management, works carried out under framework call-off orders or unit-price contracts).
You master, or can quickly acquire, the following:
The awarding of public contracts for design services (maîtrise d’œuvre) for works in flood prevention
The awarding of public contracts in the form of framework agreements with call-off orders or unit-price contracts for major public works projects (multi‑million euro projects)
Familiarity with common IT tools (Word, Excel, etc.) and GIS tools (QGIS or ArcGIS).
Experience or skills in hydrological and river hydraulic modelling or in the regulatory aspects (Single Environmental Authorization dossier) would be a plus.
You are rigorous, organized and autonomous, enjoy teamwork and demonstrate analytical thinking and initiative.
You are responsive and pragmatic.
