Manage the full revenue lifecycle, from contract review and technical assessment through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures.
Review standard and non-standard contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP.
Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process.
Partner with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and other key stakeholders to support deal reviews and bookings.
Prepare, review, and post revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
Monitor unbilled accounts receivable and deferred revenue balances.
Review and record commission accruals and amortization.
Perform monthly and quarterly analyses.
Support revenue forecasting, ad-hoc reporting, and variance analysis.
Partner with ERP, RevOps, and FP&A teams to improve system workflows.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements across the revenue cycle.
Support special projects such as new system implementations and international expansion.
Play a key role in the financial audit process.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress towards CPA preferred.
5-7 years of experience in GAAP accounting and revenue recognition in startup and scaled / public company environments.
Strong understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 340.
Experience with ERP and revenue recognition systems (e.g., NetSuite ARM, SFDC, SPIFF etc.).
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze complex revenue arrangements.
