Accounts Receivable Clerk

Role Overview

• Issue customer invoices per agreed terms, verifying accuracy against sales documents.
• Record and allocate payments promptly, resolving any unmatched or unidentified transactions.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly, investigating discrepancies to maintain accurate balances.
• Post Sales Day Book entries, ensuring timely and accurate ledger updates.
• Monitor aged debt, follow up on overdue payments, and escalate persistent issues to Treasury/Cash Manager.
• Maintain AR reports (e.g., aged receivables, cash summaries) in line with audit and regulatory standards.
• Set up new customer accounts with credit checks per company policy.
• Track geopolitical/economic risks via aviation platforms, taking action on sales or credit holds as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger, or similar finance role
• Finance qualification (AAT Level 2 or 3) preferred
• Knowledge of accounting software’s preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confident using Microsoft Excel
• Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
