Reporting to the VP of Service Delivery and Customer Success, the Delivery Director is responsible for the overall delivery health and outcomes of assigned client accounts.
You own delivery at the portfolio level across multiple accounts or large enterprise engagements, ensuring delivery models are sustainable, delivery risks are structurally addressed, delivery outcomes on track, and client trust is maintained at the executive level.
You lead and coach Delivery Managers, intervene when delivery requires structural correction, and partner closely with Client Partners to align delivery outcomes with commercial strategy.
Your role is not to run projects, but to ensure the right delivery system is in place for long-term success.
Maintain a portfolio-level view of delivery health, risks, dependencies, and systemic issues.
Decide when delivery requires intervention, reset, or structural change.
Act as the senior escalation point for delivery issues beyond Delivery Manager scope.
Requirements
10+ years in IT/digital delivery, including senior leadership over multi-account or enterprise delivery
Proven experience owning delivery outcomes at portfolio or enterprise level
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile environments)
Strong financial and commercial understanding (margins, utilization, delivery economics)
Exceptional executive stakeholder management and expectation-setting skills
Ability to diagnose and solve systemic delivery problems, not just operational issues
Experience leading senior delivery leaders (Delivery Managers, SDMs, PM leaders)
Background in software engineering, cloud, or digital product delivery environments
