Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for 2 squads.
You support the Software Engineers, the Lead Software Engineer and the Product Designer within your scope.
You manage their career plans, annual reviews, HR issues, recruitment for your teams and day-to-day operational challenges.
You are responsible for ensuring the team has the means and resources to reach its objectives.
You track the progress of shapes, facilitate workshops and rituals, help teams use Shape Up effectively, and ensure run activities are carried out (maintenance, bug fixes, emergencies).
You act as the interface within the domain and with other domains at Dougs.

You have at least 2 years of proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in directly managing a tech team.
A background as a developer is a real plus to better understand your teams' daily challenges.
You have natural leadership, you are curious and you like to understand deeply what your teams do in order to better support them.
You are recognized for excellent communication and your ability to facilitate work: your goal is to give your team the best possible means to succeed.
