About this role
Role Overview
- Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful management accounts.
- Prepare full UK P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting with clear commentary.
- Take full ownership of balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and intercompany balances.
- Support implementation of financial controls to ensure strong governance and risk management in a growing global business.
- Manage short term cashflow actualisation and commentary.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring robust controls and timely processing.
- Lead RDEC preparation, liaising with external consultants to ensure accurate and compliant claims.
- Work closely with the offshore finance team, ensuring clear processes and accountability.
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation across reporting, reconciliations and transactional finance.
- Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations teams to streamline financial processes.
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience in FMCG, consumer goods or high-growth SME environment preferred.
- Strong technical accounting background with proven balance sheet ownership.
- Hands-on experience managing VAT submissions and HMRC interactions.
- Experience working with offshore teams.
- Confident leading month-end processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills and experience improving finance systems and automation.
- Proactive, organised and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial scale-up.
- You'll need to have the existing right to work in the UK, as we’re not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
