Approximately every six months you work with well-known companies from various industries and sizes, acting as the primary point of contact for the client and supporting processes and optimizations. You can implement ideas directly at the client.
Carrying out consulting projects on accounting and back-office matters in fast-growing companies
Operational bookkeeping, preparatory accounting, and interim management, including acting as an accountant
Performing monthly closes and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
Designing and implementing best-in-class accounting and document management tools
Performing accounting tasks and posting accounting entries, e.g., provisions, personnel expenses, bank reconciliations, open items, and posting incoming and outgoing documents
Reviewing and optimizing interfaces with tax advisors and banks
Requirements
A degree or vocational training in business, finance, mathematics, or a related field is a nice-to-have but not required
Additional qualifications, such as completed Bilanzbuchhalter (certified accounting) training
Relevant professional experience, e.g., as an Accounting Team Lead, preferably in a start-up or consulting environment
Experience in process automation and digitization and familiarity with various finance and accounting tools
Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Ability to lead and manage teams (from approximately 2 FTE) and independently take responsibility for simple projects
Strong accounting knowledge and excellent experience with at least one accounting system, e.g., DATEV, NetSuite, SAP, or similar
Experience with specialized accounting topics such as OSS (One-Stop Shop), intercompany allocations, IFRS, payroll, and additional software systems like LucaNet
Initial experience acting as an interface with various stakeholders, e.g., handling relationships with tax advisors, tax authorities, and auditors
Good communication skills in German (approx. C1) and English (at least A2)
Experience and/or enthusiasm for varied, project-based work
