As the international regulatory lead on cross-functional project teams, responsible for global product registrations and market entry
Develop, communicate, and execute clear regulatory strategies, requirements, and timelines to achieve efficient and compliant global launches
Is the subject matter expert to bring products to market and to ensure compliance with global requirements, including but not limited to providing regulatory guidance and approvals for labeling, packaging, and marketing.
Conduct global claims review to ensure alignment with applicable regulations and substantiation standards
Oversee claims substantiation and ensure that marketing claims are backed by sufficient scientific evidence to avoid "misbranding"
Oversee global formulation and raw material compliance assessments in partnership with R&D and Safety teams
Monitor, interpret, and communicate global regulatory intelligence, translating insights into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with international regulations, state laws, and sustainability-related regulatory requirements
Support regulatory aspects of sustainability initiatives, including evolving environmental and ingredient-related requirements
Oversee new mandatory requirements, including facility registration, product listing, and enhanced adverse event reporting
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and clarity across regulatory workflows
Simplify and standardize ways of working across cross-functional teams
Drive internal initiatives that improve regulatory operations, documentation, and communication practice
Serves as the primary liaison between R&D, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align product launches with regulatory timelines
Develop and deliver ongoing regulatory training programs for cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales)
Provide day-to-day regulatory support and consultation to key business partners
Lead and Manage and develop direct report(s), providing mentorship and performance oversight
Represent the company in industry associations, working groups, and regulatory forums, maintaining an external presence and influence
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a scientific or related field preferred
8+ years of experience in global regulatory affairs, with a strong focus on international registration requirements and support for cosmetic products
Deep knowledge of global cosmetic regulations, labeling requirements, and claims compliance
Demonstrated experience supporting global product launches and market access strategies
Strong understanding of raw material and formulation compliance
Experience with regulatory intelligence and sustainability-related regulations is highly preferred
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
Experience managing or mentoring team members
