This is an office-based position that processes initial and renewal licensure applications and registration renewals for Board of Medicine professions.
Performs annual Physician In Training Audit; processes volunteer physician fee waivers.
Maintains Board of Medicine email box.
Processes volunteer hour renewal fee/continuing medical education (CME) waivers.
Enters CME credits for volunteer work and board meeting attendance into CE Broker.
Processes license status changes (including military) and reactivations for all eligible Board of Medicine professions.
Processes practice location changes for Area of Critical Need (ACN) and Limited licenses.
Communicates verbally, in writing, via telephone, email, and form letters with licensees, medical educators, and the general public.
Reviews and responds timely and appropriately to the Board of Medicine’s email box daily.
Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally.
Ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative in carrying out assignments.
Ability to learn, understand, and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies, and procedures for licensing.
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to concentrate, provide great attention to detail, and maintain a pre-approved work schedule.
Ability to work independently and establish and maintain dependable, effective working relationships with others.
Ability to learn and utilize job-specific software such as LEIDS and AxiomPro and office equipment such as phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers.
Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office software and in using Windows-based computers.
