Plays a critical role in establishing technical direction and philosophy for Qualus organization.
Use load flow software such as TARA, PSSE or PSLF, and/or Powerworld.
Generate System Impact Studies and Transmission Service Request.
Ability to run Steady State studies.
Perform base case development for power flow analysis.
Perform model development for short circuit analysis.
Effectively simulate and analyze the performance of the client’s transmission and generation systems and their limitations and strengths under normal and emergency operations.
Provides leadership by assigning and reviewing projects or job tasks and mentoring of less experienced consultant engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Five (5) to ten (10) years of transmission planning experience.
Experienced running Steady State studies.
Experienced in base case and model development.
Knowledge of power system analysis and modeling techniques.
