Ensure that the contracted vendor meets the uptime SLA for all core and non-core production systems and applications running on the VMware virtualization platform, whether on-premises or in the cloud, through proactive monitoring and a specialized production support team;
Ensure that project requirements related to the VMware virtualization platform are consistent, complete, and compliant with company policies and standards so they can be operationalized with quality by implementing controls prior to production deployment;
Lead architecture and IT infrastructure projects involving the VMware platform, whether on-premises or in the cloud, through infrastructure project management and participation in the company’s key projects;
Manage and track market demands related to systems and applications to keep the company aligned with market trends through participation in training and workshops;
Manage the most complex solutions by gathering and analyzing information and data to support the study, continuity, and maintenance of systems that directly or indirectly involve the VMware virtualization platform, through participation in and/or leading team meetings;
Drive VMware virtualization best practices in the environment by following vendor-recommended guidelines and maintaining active engagement with the vendor and partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field;
Advanced English (mandatory);
Knowledge of firewalls, VPN, VLANs, routing, and load balancing;
Experience in IT management using ITIL and COBIT; knowledge of information security, with emphasis on securing VMware virtualization environments and systems architecture.
