Responsible for Plant Integration Engineering (PIE) activities that support GE's BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR).
Conducts component and system integration with overall new nuclear plant design.
Manages interface between systems, components, and project/product management organizations.
Perform identification of verification and validation (V&V) requirements at the plant, system, and component level.
Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline.
Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics from an accredited university or college.
Eligibility to relocate to Markham, ON is required.
Masters or PhD in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) is desired.
Experience with Nuclear Island, Turbine Island and BOP plant systems and safety analyses design bases.
Experience working in a nuclear power plant strongly desired.
Plant experience in multiple capacities including on-shift, outage prep, work control, and/or training.
Commercial nuclear engineering experience including Design, Licensing, PRA, and/or Systems -OR
shipyard nuclear systems engineering experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer is desired.
Strong knowledge of plant operations, licensing and design bases, transient and accident analysis.
