Role Overview
- Support energy savings and emissions reduction initiatives through advanced engineering analysis, energy modeling, and Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities.
- Lead energy audits across commercial, and institutional facilities.
- Contribute to demand‑side management (DSM) programs for utility clients.
- Independently perform energy audits and assessments across diverse building types.
- Lead engineering studies for energy‑saving initiatives and deliver technical reports.
- Calculate energy savings using standard engineering principles (including physics, mechanics, fan laws, and thermodynamics).
- Analyze logged and sub‑metered energy consumption data.
- Develop Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans and reports.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables.
- Lead client engagements and clearly communicate technical findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.
- 4+ years of experience in energy management or a related field.
- Proven experience conducting energy audits in commercial facilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel for customer site visits (approximately 50%).
- Measurement & Verification certification (CMVP or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in working with utility-driven energy conservation programs preferred.
- Familiarity with energy data logging and sub-metering preferred.
