Conduct environmental due diligence studies for planned operational sites and development projects
Advise on environmental permitting and approval planning (e.g., under the German Federal Immission Control Act – BImSchG, and the Water Resources Act – WHG)
Prepare and submit permit applications for industrial facilities (construction permits, BImSchG permits) and manage interactions with authorities
Project-manage site development projects, including budget responsibility and coordination of specialist studies (e.g., environmental impact assessments, explosion protection)
Support WSP project teams for national and international clients, particularly in transactions and in clarifying permitting procedures
Assist with project acquisition activities, including presentations and proposal preparation
Work closely with WSP specialist teams in Germany and internationally (working language generally English)
Requirements
University degree (Master’s or equivalent) in environmental sciences, civil engineering, or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in permitting management and client project support
In-depth knowledge of relevant German environmental and permitting legislation
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a high level of personal responsibility, and excellent teamwork abilities
Proven very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
