About this role
Role Overview
You establish a solid costing and target-cost framework in strategic procurement for a defined product group, laying the foundation for economically sound product decisions.
You work closely with product management, product development, design and quality management and support new products from a procurement perspective from initial concept to production readiness.
You prepare and review product costings, analyze cost structures and evaluate supplier offers for competitiveness.
You independently conduct price, terms and contract negotiations with international suppliers.
You strategically manage and develop the supplier base for your product group and optimize cost, quality and delivery performance within the defined scope.
By initiating measures to reduce CO₂ in the supply chain and to introduce living wages at production sites, you actively support the implementation of ORTOVOX’s sustainability strategy.
Requirements
Degree in Textile Management, Apparel Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification
At least 3 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing of apparel or in a product-related function (e.g., product development or quality assurance) with a clear cost and sourcing focus
Experience in sourcing functional mountain/outdoor apparel and in assessing and developing supplier structures
Strong understanding of cost-breakdown calculations, structured analysis and active cost control (Cost Engineering)
Confident use of PLM systems (e.g., Centric) and very good Excel skills
Excellent English and good German skills, both written and spoken
Your negotiation and assertiveness skills enable you to convince our suppliers in price, terms and contract negotiations
You work independently and in a structured way and have strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers
You have a passion for the outdoors and sustainable value creation
