Building, changing, and maintaining cloud infrastructures in Azure – compute, data, and networking.
Setting up logging, monitoring, and security.
Support and teach teams to set up and maintain their pipelines.
Coach mid and junior colleagues to improve their technical skills.
Proactively advise teams, clients, and projects on cloud-related improvements in the areas of performance, availability, security, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Help project and service managers to budget and plan cloud work, identify project or SLA risks.
Participate as a cloud engineer in our 24x7 on-call duty rotation.
Coordinate cloud work in a project with multiple cloud engineers.
The single point of contact for client, project, and service management on cloud topics for a specific project.
Make sure that documentation is created and maintained.
Govern automation at the right level and quality.
Supervise compliance with security standards and client requirements.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience as a cloud engineer in Azure
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
Solid knowledge of the serverless services of Azure
Knowledge and experience with monitoring systems, such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Tempo
Knowledge of and experience with various pipelining tools, such as GitHub and Azure DevOps
Knowledge of and experience with microservices-related technology: Docker and Kubernetes
Good conceptual understanding of cloud architecture and system thinking
Worked as an engineer in a DevOps context
Excellent command of English (C2)
Familiar with technologies: Container services, AKS, Azure functions, SQL as a service, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitoring (including APM), AppGW, AFD, NSG, Azure Firewall
Worked within the context of publicly accessible, highly available eCommerce and/or experience platforms
