About this role
Role Overview
- Identify and recommend performance counters for performance analysis;
- Analyze logs, metrics and traces to provide application performance recommendations;
- Analyze on-premises and cloud infrastructure to provide performance recommendations;
- Perform performance analysis of application infrastructure;
- Plan infrastructure performance strategy for applications, including load and performance testing;
- Execute system performance tests to ensure reliability, capacity, scalability and to identify bottlenecks;
- Analyze and provide performance recommendations for Java, JavaScript and Python applications;
- Lead the entire test lifecycle, from business understanding and architecture review to script development, execution, analysis and presentation;
- Produce Application Performance Analysis, Infrastructure Analysis and Performance Test reports (Load / Stress / Spike / Shift-left);
- Review and recommend improvements to existing test procedures;
- Perform behavioral test analysis, identify bottlenecks and conduct deep root-cause analysis;
- Build automated performance testing pipelines;
- Develop performance analysis dashboards and panels.
Requirements
- Experience in Application Performance Management (APM);
- Experience analyzing performance indicators of operating systems, applications (Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, .NET) and relational and non-relational databases;
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Proficiency in testing methodologies: Load / Stress / Spike / Shift-left;
- Experience with tools and scripting languages for creating performance test scripts;
- Experience with testing tools: k6, JMeter and Gatling;
- Analysis of performance metrics (transactions/s, requests/s, average response time and percentiles);
- Analysis of infrastructure and application metrics;
- Experience developing scripts with Shell, PowerShell and Python;
- Experience with at least one public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, GCP or Oracle Cloud;
- Technical English for reading documentation;
- Experience analyzing middleware (JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic);
- Experience with Spring Boot;
- Experience with APM tools;
- Experience analyzing Java and other OOP languages, both in monoliths and microservices architectures.
