This 12-month fixed-term role covers parental leave for the Senior Media Manager and leads AGL’s corporate media strategy across Finance, Legal, IT & Technology, and People & Culture.
It oversees media team operations, manages two media managers, and drives message development and media strategy for major corporate milestones, including financial results and the AGM.
Provide counsel to the CEO and Executive Team, supporting the Head of Strategic Communications and Media on executive media opportunities and speaking engagements, requiring strong speechwriting skills.
Participate in the on-call media roster and lead integrated Corporate Affairs communication and engagement strategies for major announcements or cross-business initiatives.
Requirements
At least 10-15 years’ experience in media relations, including a role within an ASX listed organisation
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with an ability to manage and communicate complex issues within tight timeframes, working across multiple functions
Proven experience working collaboratively with other corporate affairs disciplines and sub-functions to generate reputation outcomes
Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating stakeholder relationships in a complex, issues-rich environment
Excellent attention to detail in developing communications
