Regulatory Specialist III

Role Overview

• The employee in this position reports to and assists the Regulatory Supervisor.
• This position is a professional position in which the employee functions independently, and as a team member, to process, evaluate and determine eligibility for licensure applications.
• Evaluates all documents uploaded to Axiom Pro using the online application system.
• Processes Registered Nurse examination applications.
• Serves as the main processor for military veteran applications.
• Evaluates applications for nursing licensure by endorsement, examination or re-examination to determine eligibility.
• Approves requests for licensure or examination and notifies applicants.
• Serves as the primary processor for the Livescan reports received daily; requires posting of reports and ensuring that established timeframes for review are met.
• Serves as assistant trainer for all Regulatory Specialist II processors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by managerial staff.

Requirements

• Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.
• Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection.
• Ability to provide consultative assistance to others.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
