Provide technical oversight during bidding phases, evaluating proposed engineering solutions, methodologies, and constructability.
Conduct design optimisation for treatment plants, desalination components, and related infrastructure.
Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, data sheets, and material/equipment tabulations.
Oversee post‑purchase technical documentation and ensure full alignment with project requirements.
Support standardisation initiatives to improve project‑wide engineering consistency.
Extract, analyse, and communicate critical technical information from tender documents.
Drive improvements in engineering methodologies to enhance bid competitiveness.
Supervise and mentor engineering team members to ensure high‑quality and timely outputs.
Maintain strong collaboration across cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with project deliverables and milestones.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager within civil or water infrastructure environments.
Demonstrated multidisciplinary engineering capability across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and water infrastructure.
Strong leadership and team‑management experience, guiding engineering and design teams to meet deliverables on time and within budget.
Highly effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders including: internal project teams joint venture partners external consultants government authorities and regulators.
Familiarity with major project tendering processes within Australia.
Strong technical understanding of engineering design, optimisation, equipment selection, and risk assessment.
Ability to drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
High proficiency in reviewing detailed engineering documentation and ensuring full compliance with standards and specifications.
