About this role
Role Overview
You will have full responsibility for the performance and growth of the business, overseeing operations from order entry through shipping, with accountability for P&L, operational efficiency, customer experience, safety, and regulatory compliance
Play a critical role in driving Lean manufacturing principles, strengthening operational discipline, and partnering cross-functionally to grow the Door and Frame business in alignment with Door Group
Lead all manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, inventory control, labor planning, and equipment maintenance
Drive operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor and analyze production metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, quality, and cost) to identify improvement opportunities
Oversee order entry, customer service, production planning, and forecasting to meet customer demand
Ensure consistent achievement of production, quality, safety, and cost targets while maintaining a long-term strategic view
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team in partnership with site HR
Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement
Develop and execute effective retention, succession, and workforce planning strategies
Be a visible, accessible leader who coaches and mentors teams across shifts
Foster a collaborative, respectful, and performance-driven work environment
Lead cross-functional collaboration across departments to achieve company objectives
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
Proven senior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (metal forming experience a plus)
Strong background in manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement
Solid financial acumen, including P&L ownership and understanding of financial statements
Experience coaching and mentoring teams, willingness to be physically present leader who is accessible and visible during shifts
Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage metrics, forecasting, and reporting to drive performance
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
