Role Overview
Support the preparation and maintenance of standard reports, templates, and datasets used by category management teams to manage sourcing activities.
Execute routine and ad-hoc data extractions from multiple systems (e.g., ERP, PLM, reporting tools) to support operational and analytical needs.
Ensure consistent application of sourcing processes, definitions, and data standards across categories and reporting outputs.
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established definitions before information is shared.
Provide basic data summaries, reconciliations, and structured insights to support Category Managers in day-to-day decision making.
Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for recurring data pulls, templates, and reporting logic to support repeatability and transparency.
Review basic engineering drawings, product specifications, and technical documentation to support classification of purchased materials into the appropriate sourcing categories.
Assist with administration and coordination of sourcing-related tools and systems, including system updates and process support.
Communicate with internal stakeholders and occasionally suppliers to gather, confirm, or clarify required information.
Identify and escalate data quality or system issues, providing clear documentation of the issue and potential business impact.
Requirements
Basic understanding of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain concepts.
Exposure to reporting or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Familiarity with ERP or sourcing systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar).
Experience supporting data management, system administration, or reporting processes.
Engineering or technical background with the ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, product specifications, or technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders.
