Accounting Specialist

Role Overview

• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Colombian accounting standards, IFRS, and corporate accounting policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing required documentation and follow-ups.
• Present financial results, insights, and reports in English to global senior management.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Strengthen internal controls and optimize accounting procedures and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams locally and internationally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting with a valid professional license.
• 5-7+ years of experience in senior accounting roles or accounting leadership.
• Experience with NetSuite (required): strong understanding of NetSuite accounting modules, reporting, and system workflows.
• Advanced English (B2+) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and Colombian accounting regulations.
• Proven experience managing audits.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
