Accurately review medical records and assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations
Manage patient demographics, clinical documentation, and billing data across practice management systems and hospital records to ensure proper coding and reimbursement
Support and educate clinical staff and providers on documentation and coding standards to promote compliance, accuracy, and effective communication
Requirements
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred
Accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (CCS-P) or the American Academy of Professional Coders (CPC)
Newly obtained coding certification to three years experience in provider coding and medical terminology with extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC coding required
Preferred specialty experience in areas of Orthopedics, Neurology, Physical Medicine, and Rehabilitation or Pain Management
