Full Time Profee Multi Specialty Surgery Medical Coder

Role Overview

• Provide coding and abstracting services for clients on outpatient, physician or emergency room medical records
• Review medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures
• Ensure appropriate DRG assignment
• Participate in team meetings and training required by company staff or the client
• Maintain coding credentials up to date and active

Requirements

• CPC certification
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Profee Surgery coding experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPS and CPT coding principles and guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology and disease processes
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
