About this role
Role Overview
- Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple group companies, in line with reporting deadlines (local currency and GBP).
- Analyse monthly results and investigate variances.
- Review and validate foreign exchange accounting entries.
- Build strong working relationships with senior management teams, providing financial insight and support.
- Review profitability reports to ensure income and costs are accurately recorded and aligned with expectations.
- Line manage and support the development of one team member, including reviewing their work and performance against objectives.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and equivalent submissions for overseas subsidiaries.
- Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Support the external audit process, including preparation of required data.
Requirements
- Fully qualified ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA accountant, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss financial information with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with Sage Intacct (or similar systems) is beneficial.
