About this role
Role Overview
Coordinating all functions and activities related to ambulatory patient access
Front end customer service
Patient registration
Insurance/coverage verification
Appointment scheduling
Charge entry
Handling forms, phones, filing, making appointments, photocopying, faxing, mailings, letters, reports, etc.
Requirements
Associates degree (or equivalent) or HS/GED plus at least two years relevant experience
Experience working in a clinical setting preferred
Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
Demonstrated customer service skills
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information
Ability to effectively handle challenging situations and to balance multiple priorities
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel & Outlook) and web/internet
Experience with standard hospital registration & billing systems or ability to learn such systems
