About this role
Role Overview
Design and develop motor control and vehicle control PCBs from concept to production
Define electrical, mechanical, and thermal interfaces
Support prototype build, bring-up, and laboratory validation
Develop and execute: Test strategies
Validation plans
Commissioning procedures
Analyze results and optimize designs accordingly
Improve designs based on: Testing results
Functional safety requirements
Manufacturing feedback
Support transition to series production readiness
Contribute to DFM and production scaling
Participate in motor control system integration and commissioning
Support performance testing
Collaborate on vehicle-level systems integration
Support development of: Body Control Units (BCU)
Power electronics integration
Wiring harness design
Participate in full vehicle integration, testing, and optimization
Support validation of complete systems in prototype vehicles
Perform iterative improvements based on test results
Contribute to benchmarking and system performance evaluation
Requirements
Electronics & PCB Design (Must-Have)
Minimum 10 years of experience in PCB design (schematic capture and layout)
Proven experience with Altium Designer (mandatory)
Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive or electric drive systems
Understanding of vehicle integration processes
Experience with: DFM / DFA practices
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialization
Hands-on experience with: Prototype bring-up and lab validation
Test strategy development and execution
Performance testing (efficiency, thermal, torque-speed)
Understanding of functional safety principles (automotive context)
Ability to incorporate safety requirements into hardware design
Awareness of relevant design standards and compliance requirements
Experience working across: Electrical Mechanical Software / system integration teams
Knowledge of: Wiring harness design
Vehicle-level system integration
Power distribution systems
English – fluent
German – nice to have
