About this role

Enhancing the design, development, and ongoing optimization of Akamai's Network Fabric to ensure scalability and performance for Edge, Compute, AI workloads.
Developing product and program requirements to design network features and produce detailed technical outputs, including diagrams, material inventories, and rack elevations.
Coordinating with engineering build teams to help them understand network design documents for accurate network infrastructure deployment
Supporting technical writers/trainers in documentation that explains complex internal technology concepts, design standards and deployment best practices
Identifying and participating in internal workflow and process improvement opportunities within Akamai

Have a Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
Have a minimum 5 y of hands-on network and server hardware, network switches and routers experience.
Have a minimum 5 y of experience with network switches and routers.
Have at of experience with Microsoft Visio or an equivalent network diagramming tool and server deployment in a datacenter environment.
