Role Overview
- Lead compliant, risk-based background check screening processes
- Liaise with external background check vendors for timely processing
- Review and adjudicate background check results against firm standards
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Legal for exceptions and escalations
- Monitor legislative changes impacting hiring compliance
- Develop and deliver training for HR teams on background check processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field
- 3–5+ years of relevant HR compliance, background investigations, or related experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and background screening tools
- Professional certification in HR compliance, employment law, or related field (e.g., HRCI, SHRM, XLRI, CCEP, etc.) preferred
