Prepare and compile technical documentation related to Connection Application, Registration (R1), and Hold Point/Commissioning (R2) documentation packages.
Perform technical power system studies (steady-state and dynamic) for a project portfolio using tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, or PowerFactory.
Support the negotiation of Generator Performance Standards (GPS) with AEMO and NSPs by providing technical data and analysis.
Liaise with AEMO, NSPs, and consultants to address technical queries and facilitate the approvals process.
Coordinate with external consultants to ensure specific project tasks are delivered on time and meet technical requirements.
Troubleshoot project models in collaboration with internal technical teams.
Utilize and contribute to internal modelling standards, templates, and engineering procedures.
Assist in feasibility assessments and the development of connection strategies for early-stage projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
2 years of experience in grid engineering or power systems, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
Demonstrated experience with grid connection processes in the NEM.
Good knowledge of the NER, GPS, and AEMO/NSPs connection processes.
Good knowledge in power system modelling tools (PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory).
Good knowledge of electrical dynamics of grids and electrical machines.
Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work and engage in an international environment liaising with Headquarters Team.
