About this role
Role Overview
- Create inspection programs for CMMs (coordinate measuring machine) to measure the physical characteristics of parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Requirements
- Strong experience programming CMMs using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MCOSMOS
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Advance Knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency with CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
- Experience creating, editing, and optimizing CMM inspection programs
- Knowledge of probe calibration, alignment strategies, and fixture setup
- Ability to work independently while creating new programs
