Coordinating and supporting on a diverse range of projects including those related to impact assessments, Indigenous engagement and consultation, and Indigenous Knowledge or Traditional Use Studies

Building and maintaining client relationships through a comprehensive understanding of client needs, priorities, and objectives while providing excellent client service
Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations that translate technical and research insights into plain-language narratives for diverse audiences
Adhere to data privacy, governance, and ethical standards, including OCAP®/OCAS, PIPA, informed consent procedures, and client‑specific protocols
Potentially support training and capacity building initiatives related to social research methodologies and conducting social research studies
Requirements
1-3 years of professional experience in a social research position or related
Undergraduate or graduate degree in social sciences (e.g. anthropology, human geography, sociology) or related field or comparable practical experience
Experience with qualitative research methods including interviews, focus groups, and surveys
Experience with desktop research / literature reviews / jurisdictional scans / annotated bibliographies or similar.
Familiarity with Indigenous Knowledge Studies, Socio-Economic Impact Assessments, Community Well-being Studies, and other research used to inform Impact Assessment processes in Canada
Experience supporting as an investigator on research projects.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)
Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous Nations in Canada or internationally, with knowledge of Indigenous and environmental issues in Canada
Exceptional communication, organization, and attention to detail
Collaborative team member who takes initiative and meets deadlines
Willingness to travel across Canada, including to northern and remote communities and to work occasional overtime hours during work trips
