Manage the complete bidding lifecycle for large and complex proposals, from initial opportunity assessment through contract finalization.
Lead proposal project management activities including bid planning, scheduling, risk identification, and stakeholder coordination.
Analyze customer RFQs/RFPs, identify technical and commercial requirements, clarify ambiguities, and define compliant bid strategies.
Develop and validate technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal governance.
Establish and negotiate commercial and trading terms including pricing structures, payment milestones, Incoterms, and contractual clauses.
Act as Control & Instrumentation Proposal Engineer for small to medium-sized proposals, delivering solutions independently or with minimal guidance.
Review and endorse technical solutions, cost estimates, and risk assessments prior to proposal submission.
Support proposal approvals and sign-off activities in line with organizational authorization matrices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, supply chain, finance, and legal to ensure proposal accuracy and competitiveness.
Continuously improve proposal processes, tools, and best practices within the Proposal Center of Excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
More than 3 years of experience in proposal development and bid management within the Oil & Gas or process industry.
Strong understanding of Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) and control & instrumentation solutions.
Hands-on experience managing RFQs/RFPs and delivering complex technical and commercial proposals.
Solid knowledge of commercial terms including Terms & Conditions, payment terms, Incoterms, cash flow planning, and contractual clauses.
Proficiency in proposal management tools, costing methodologies, and quotation platforms such as Quote Builder.
Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple deadlines.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder communication skills.
The ability to travel 25 % of the time.
