About this role
Role Overview
Prepare 3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and material take‑offs for heavy industrial equipment and ducting systems.
Assist in the design of hot exhaust and flue gas ducting, including casings, transitions, and associated structural plate components.
Develop drawings for customer review, material procurement, and fabrication, following established design standards and templates.
Incorporate design input related to thermal expansion, operating temperature, and mechanical loading as directed by senior designers or engineers.
Coordinate ducting layouts and interfaces with associated equipment such as SCR reactors, baghouses, ESPs, dampers, and expansion joints, with guidance as needed.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in Computer‑Aided Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in industrial structural or mechanical design.
Experience producing industrial ductwork or plate structures, preferably in heavy industrial or process‑equipment environments.
Proficiency in 3D modeling and preparation of fabrication‑ready drawings.
Ability to perform basic geometric and material quantity calculations accurately.
