Directing and overseeing all areas of accounting operations including payroll, cash receipts, accounts receivable, credit/collections, customer service, and A/P disbursement functions
Overseeing accounting, audit, and tax including cash flow, independent audits, tax reporting, and financial reporting
Managing accounting office staff and interacting with auditors, bank representatives, and investment consultants
Serving or representing the CFO in his/her absence
Ensuring the integrity of general ledgers and overseeing disbursement functions
Reviewing and creating contract purchase orders in the Accounts Payable system
Overseeing the annual audit/tax process and ensuring timely reconciliation of bank accounts
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance/Business with accounting concentration
Master’s degree in business related field (preferred)
10+ years of accounting at a mid to senior level, preferably in a non-profit financial environment
Knowledge of cash management, A/P, A/R, payroll, and other accounting operations processes
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff using a variety of mediums
Strong management, interpersonal, and listening skills
