Role Overview
play a key role in the design, analysis, and development of structural systems
solve a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
apply technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts to your work
contribute directly to the completion of designs associated with program milestones
collaborate with other mechanical teams
communicate and document technical concepts to support team alignment and project success
follow established procedures to complete tasks and projects
Requirements
Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Typically 2+ years of related experience
Strong understanding of Structural Analysis
Experience using and applying technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Ability to work under general supervision and follow established procedures
Capability to contribute to the completion of designs directly associated with program milestones
Ability to work effectively with other mechanical teams
Proficiency with engineering software tools relevant to structural analysis and design (preferred)
Familiarity with Aerospace standards and best practices in structural engineering (preferred)
Demonstrated capability in project management and meeting deadlines (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferred)
Passion for innovation and excellence in aerospace technologies and structural system design (preferred)
Experience with Finite Element Methods and Analysis Software (Preferably ANSYS or Nastran) (preferred)
Knowledge of Standard structural failure modes (preferred)
Experience with load path modeling and hand calculations for structural substantiation (preferred)
