Strategic Sourcing Manager

Role Overview

• Identifies, evaluates, and negotiates with suppliers that offer a competitive advantage
• Manages the organization's RFP process and evaluates potential suppliers
• Tracks supplier performance and compliance with expectations
• Identifies duplicated purchases and leverages bulk purchasing power
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations
• Assists with identifying, developing, and qualifying new suppliers
• Collaborates with suppliers to reduce costs and manage impacts on business
• Creates sustainable processes for strategic sourcing initiatives

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. Degree required (operations, business preferred)
• 5 or more years of experience in sourcing
• Ability to comprehend Prints/CAD/Material Spec’s
• Experience working in a team environment preferably with a small to medium size company
• Ability to generate and interpret statistical data
• Proven experience in idea generation and cost reduction
