Contribute to building an internal VAT Excellence Centre
Collaborate to establish a Global VAT Control Framework
Support the implementation of an Indirect Tax Compliance tool
Prepare indirect tax filings including performance of controls
Support in solving, improving, standardising and automation of VAT processes
Ad-hoc VAT advisory within Hempel and supporting the business
Support reporting and controlling of other indirect taxes (import duties, excise duties etc.)
Prepare and review data for Tax Authorities including communication with Tax Authorities
Build strong relationships with local Finance, IT, Customer Service teams to ensure efficient collaboration
Maintain and strengthen partnerships with tax advisors, Tax Authorities and other external stakeholders to ensure optimized and efficient cooperation

University degree in Economics, Tax or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in VAT-related roles
Knowledge of VAT: legislation within EU and/or globally, compliance processes and controls
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Strong analytic skills with detail-orientated mindset
Organized, independent and pro-active approach
Good team player with customer focused and result-driven perspective
