The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for the coordination and support of all marketing functions with a focus on the production of proposals and qualifications.
Coordinate the end-to-end process of pursuits through to proposal production, with emphasis on creative, compliant, and accurate submittals.
Lead the development of compelling content, including resumes, project descriptions, case studies, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with business development and technical staff to identify key messaging, value propositions, and competitive positioning (capture planning).
Ensure compliance with client requirements, RFP/RFQ guidelines, and company standards.
Support interview preparation, including presentation development, coaching, and logistics.
Analyze pursuit outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement of proposal strategies and processes.
Interface with proposal authors and technical teams to define win strategies, section scope and key differentiators.
Manage quality control across all marketing deliverables, including proofing, editing, and reviewing creative output for accuracy and consistency.
Demonstrate ownership, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency by monitoring deadlines, resolving issues in a fast-paced environment, and delivering high-quality proposals and collateral.
Requirements
Minimum Education: Associate degree in related field or equivalent of five (5) years of marketing experience (experience in the architectural/engineering industry is a plus).
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Journalism, Communications, English, Business, a technical/scientific discipline, or a related field, from an accredited university.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing and developing complex proposals, presentations, and related.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign preferred).
Excellent organizational, written communication skills, and verbal communication skills.
Works cooperatively with diverse teams.
Self-starter – requires little or no direction in marketing proposal production.
Limited travel may be required in the immediate Phoenix Metro area.
Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.
