Role Overview
- Supervise a team that handles claims
- Participate in the development and implementation of business plans
- Establish and maintain productive business relationships with underwriting, risk control and other operational units
- Provide effective leadership by motivating staff
- Provide coaching on the technical and professional skills of your team
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in the insurance industry
- At least 5 years of experience in claims, preferably in specialty lines insurance
- Technical knowledge of transportation, cargo, hull, contamination, bodily injury and liability is an asset
- Holding or working toward a Professional Accredited Insurance (PAA) designation is an asset
- Possession of a 5A Claims Expert certificate
- Bilingualism required
