About this role
Role Overview
- Lead the general ledger team for the EMEA region
- Oversee and coordinate month-end and year-end close processes
- Optimize internal finance processes
- Support and lead accounting projects
- Coordinate group reporting in accordance with IFRS and HGB (German GAAP)
- Analyze and reconcile financial statements and general ledger accounts
- Collaborate with external auditors on financial statement audits
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration or Economics with a focus on Finance, or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in accounting
- Knowledge of HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
- Initial leadership experience in finance or demonstrated leadership potential
- Expertise in standardizing and digitizing general ledger processes
- Project management experience, ideally in an international context
- Strong knowledge of SAP and relevant accounting software
- Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving
- High degree of independence, attention to detail, and quality awareness
- Confident communication skills in German and English
